Our approach is "Create new healthy habits, not restrictions.” We design nutrition plans that coordinate with each individual’s vision of a healthy lifestyle through targeting food consumption and behaviors associated with food choices.
Leah Figuccio MS RDN LDN
Hi! I’m Leah, a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist based in Philadelphia.
I am the founder of Leah Figuccio Nutrition. I have been practicing in the state of Pennsylvania since 2015. My experience working with a vast variety of disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and obesity, has further increased my passion to help others improve their quality of life.
My health coaching style is best described as Motivational Interviewing. This means enhancing self motivation during each counseling session through encouraging each client to find his/her own goals and achieve them. Listening is a key approach during my sessions. I want to best understand your experience and feelings. I believe both the coach and the client are experts in the counseling relationship. During my sessions I hope to build a fun collaborative nature to help you find motivation and balance in meeting your health goals.
My focus is on wellness, sports nutrition, pregnancy (including pre/postpartum nutrition), diabetes, heart disease, weight management and gastrointestinal distress.
As an RD I’ve received extensive training that combines academic preparation with hands-on, practical patient experience set forth by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I received my undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Nutrition. My post graduate work was completed at Immaculata University where I obtained a Masters in Nutrition Education. I am qualified to provide Medical Nutrition therapy in PA & Florida. I’m currently an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Kyra Elmendorf MS RD/LDN
Hi I’m Kyra! I completed my undergraduate degree in nutrition and dietetics at La Salle University and am completing my masters degree in clinical nutrition at Immaculata University. I am the part time evening dietitian for Leah Figuccio Nutrition.
Currently, I primarily work with chronic diseases especially diabetes and renal disorders. I have a large focus on menu planning and working with specific medical restrictions in my current profession. I also had the pleasure of studying at CHOP where I was able to work with the pediatric population. Here I was able to experience pediatric cancer, eating disorders, and more.
I believe that food can heal and has the ability to make the quality of life change for the better. I want my clients to see food as energy and understand the benefits nutrition can have! I am excited to work with you to reach your goals, whatever they may be. When my client has a win, I have a win too.
Fun Fact: I am originally from Long Island, NY and moved to Philadelphia full-time 3 years ago! I am also working towards my personal training certification!
Angela Green RDN, LDN
Hi my name is Angie, I am an RD with Leah Figuccio Nutrition. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Pennsylvania State University. I completed my Dietetic Internship with Iowa State University. I have been practicing in the state of PA as a RD since 2015. I have experience working with a variety of different clients such as prenatal, pediatrics, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, obesity, weight loss, and hypertension. I have worked in long term care, food service, wellness, and renal settings.
When working with clients I try to empower and encourage them to reach their goals that we set through motivational interviewing. My client and I are a team, and together we come up with ways to reach goals through lifestyle changes. My favorite part about being a Dietitian is seeing my clients succeed and change their health for the better.
Maggie Wadlinger MS RD LDN
Hi, I’m Maggie! I’ve been practicing as a Registered Dietitian in PA since 2020 and I received my Masters of Clinical Nutrition in 2021. I currently work in North Philadelphia in the hospital setting where I see a variety of patients and clinical conditions. I have a special interest in working with the wound care population of Philadelphia and I collaborate closely with the rest of the medical team to establish nutritional guidelines for the care of intravenous drug-related wounds.
My philosophy when it comes to nutrition is addition, not subtraction! I believe there is room for all of the foods we enjoy, while still maintaining a healthy, balanced diet and lifestyle. I look forward to working with clients and helping them reach their nutrition goals!
When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy cooking, reading, and taking long walks by the Schuylkill with my dog, Leonard!
